For our third episode, health expert Amy Kathleen Lee and SOL delve deep into conversation about the connection between the dance community and eating disorders. Amy shares her struggles and successes during her time battling ED. This episode will help shine a light on the darkness that is "ED" in people's lives and will ultimately help guide them toward regaining their strength and taking back their life! Amy provides tools to use during times of battle and to help you stay focused and moving forward on your journey. Don't give up!

Amy Kathleen Lee is a former pre-professional classical ballet dancer and eating disorder survivor. Amy stopped dancing when she was seventeen due to a spinal injury. She founded Dancing With ED in 2013 after healing from an 18 year battle with bulimia brought on by the traumatic injury. At the start of her professional career, she worked as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist but changed paths entering the behavioral health field due to her own diagnosis of Bipolar II disorder. She has worked as a Childrens Specialist in a Domestic Violence Shelter, a Paraeducator in Special Education, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from the University of Phoenix. Amy is also a professional speaker, and works in her community of San Luis Obispo County, Ca. as an award-winning Mental Health and Eating Disorder Recovery Advocate. She is a member of the Suicide Prevention Council of San Luis Obispo, National Alliance for Mental Illness. She is a Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer, Q.P.R. for suicide prevention trainer, and speaker for the Stamp Out Stigma Speakers Bureau. For this our very first "mini-sode," our guest, Luis Lopez and SOL discuss the importance of National Hispanic American Heritage Month, and the beautiful and colorful dance form that is Balet Folklórico. LUIS LOPEZ
​(BIO)

Luis Lopez took his first folklórico class in 2002 at Righetti High School under the instruction of Ricardo Gabaldón, Sr. and has been dancing ever since.  He has choreographed and performed for all ¡Folklórico! productions since 2007, as well as for Dance Spectrum, SummerDance, and Dimensions in Dance.  Since graduating from Allan Hancock CollegeL, he has performed for the LA Lakers and LA Sparks half-time shows in the Staples Center, as well as in a television segment for Univision’s Despierta America under the direction of Alicia Mendibles of Paso de Oro Dance Company.  
Lopez earned his MS in technical communication at Arizona State University and is currently a member of the Asociación Nacional de Grupos Folklóricos (ANGF).

For our second episode, we sit down and Zoom with Mario Mosley, a highly respected casting director, choreographer and director in the entertainment industry. We delve deep into the dance industry amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and discussed the backlash Netflix has recently received toward the release of their film 'Cuties' on September 8, 2020. 
Mario Mosley attended the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television. Some of his professional credits include World Music Awards, Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards.  Films:  Dreamgirls, Walk Hard, Basketball.  TV: iCarly, Castle, Madtv,  RuPaul's Drag U, Dance Your A** Off, The Parkers, Moesha, Miss Universe Pageant, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA,  Commercials: Sprite,  Heineken, Kia,  Popeyes Chicken. Tours: It Get's Better Tour, Michael Jackson's Sisterella, Notre Dame de Paris, Joe's Garage and many more.   
Mario is a longtime Lythgoe Family (So You Think You Can Dance) Panto choreographer, having worked on such shows as Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Aladdin and most recently a groundbreaking, 3D production of Jack & the Beanstalk at the world famous State Theatre in Sydney Australia. His love and talents in some many fields of the arts have presented him with the opportunities to choreograph and perform with some of the most exciting names in the entertainment industry, including Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Sia, Prince, Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Isaiah Morgan (Kidz Bop), Britney Spears, The Pussycat Dolls, Justin Timberlake,  The Gap Band, Bootsie Collins, Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, N'SYNC, Olivia Holt (Cloak & Dagger), Jordyn Jones, Diego Pasillas  (NBC World of Dance S4 WINNER),  Bailey Sok (dance industry megastar), Nia Sioux (Sunnyside Up, Dance Moms) and Disney sensation Ruby Rose Turner (Coop and Cami ask the World).  
Mario also works in the field of casting and specializes in youth casting.  He has cast projects for many major networks including, FOX, ABC, WB, BET and CBS.
